Don’t Trouble The Trouble is a major disappointment that struggles to find its footing right from the beginning. What appears to be an interesting premise is let down by an unconvincing storyline, weak screenplay and poorly handled situations, resulting in a frustrating theatrical experience.
The first half is largely patience-testing, with very few moments that genuinely engage. The interval episode is relatively better and provides a brief spark of interest, but whatever momentum it creates is completely lost after the break.
The second half falls apart badly, with a series of far-fetched episodes that fail to build either tension or entertainment. The narration becomes increasingly tedious, and the film never develops the emotional connection required to make the audience invest in the characters.
The writing is the biggest weakness. The comedy fails to land, the emotional moments lack impact, and several situations feel forced and unconvincing. At times, it is difficult to understand what the director is attempting to convey through the screenplay.
Fahadh Faasil delivers a committed performance and remains one of the very few bright spots. Ssara Palekar is another positive, delivering an impressive performance and leaving an impact despite the limited support from the material.
Unfortunately, Kalla Bhairava’s music is a major letdown. The songs fail to register, while the background score does little to enhance the important sequences. The cinematography is decent, but the overall production quality feels underwhelming in several portions.
The climax is another major disappointment, failing to provide a convincing payoff or the impact needed to end the film on a strong note. After an already weak second half, the finale further adds to the frustration.
It is also noteworthy that the film received praise from Mahesh Babu and NTR before release, making the response from audiences even more surprising considering the final output.
