The film gets off to a decent start with a fairly engaging first half and good performances from Vikram, Sandhya and Tarak Ponnappa. The rural setting works in parts, while the interval episode stands out with an unexpected twist.
The first half has a few interesting moments, with comedy and action working in parts. The chemistry between the lead pair is decent, and the interval gives the film some momentum.
Unfortunately, the film takes a steep fall in the second half. The narration becomes slow and poorly handled, with several lengthy scenes failing to create any emotional impact. The portions involving the hero and heroine feel stretched and lack the required depth.
The dubbing is poor, especially for the heroine, while the songs and BGM are major disappointments. The background score fails to elevate important scenes, and the overall production quality is also underwhelming in places.
The climax is another major letdown. Despite setting up some interesting twists earlier, the final stretch fails to deliver the expected impact and comes across as weak and poorly executed.
Overall, Anakapalli has a decent first half, some good performances and a strong interval twist, but the poor second half, weak dubbing, ineffective songs and BGM, low production quality and disappointing climax drag the film down considerably.
